What makes you think the car will go 8.60? It the slowest turbo car around and will go 15.0's. has factory GM heads, runs on CORN, being built by some nobody's, Being tuned in my driveway by some know ones.

most of all the 8.6 cars will be on 10.5 tires.

I promise you our car is a hell of a lot more over weight than any mustang running any classes around here. But I know that it will run 8.60 with a small pill in the fogger @ 3600lbs

As for the 10.5, can't say we've ever needed a bigger tire than that. But I'll try a 275 drag radial this year for the hell of it. Drop the gears down a bit and even try some of those 26 inchers for Ron!

I am only racing national events with the Thunderbird, and am racing at home with my son and the Fairmont.
BTW-my quote was right the first time.
I've been around this stuff longer than most, that you can trust.
That GN is a bad mutha-add who is working on it only makes it badder.
I know what I see, and if that means labeling me as a "nutswinger" that don't bother me at all. There is ONE HELL of a step from mid 8s to mid 7s or faster, this of which we have experienced first hand and others can only imagine.
Our group (Clocks Off Racing) are the ONLY group from this forum, be it private people or sponsors, who have experience in going that fast, especially on a small tire. I don't care who you talk to or who you know, until you do it you just don't know. That is not arrogance, and it don't make us better-it makes us experienced. Ron don't tune my car just because we are friends, he does because he knows more than most. Maybe that will explain why he didn't run his own car much-he knew it already and learned more from tuning my car. Gaining knowledge through unselfishness-what a concept.

good luck down south and be safe. my car went mid 8's last year on a small tire with lots wrong. including a cracked intercooler..... and a bad coil. its racing shit happens. but every year i come back and never look back. some day ill have the big cubed F3 but until then. 7's is not out of touch. .....who would have thunk a small block small tire car would go 7's but it is done all over the place. damn my tuner goes 7,s with an F1R on drag radials.... wait till you see the cars down south get down...
