    Ford rear main seal?

Like most 5.0 mustangs, my rear main seal has a small leak. I replaced the seal, which fixed the problem for a few weeks until it leaked again.

I've read that most will continue to leak no matter what cause they wear a small groove on the crank, and some people use a crank saver to fix the problem. Who has heard of or used these? Its like a 0.030'' cap that goes on the end of the crank to make it smooth again and make the seal fit a little tighter. Also who would sell these?

    Thanks

I have done it, some just watch where the groove is and place the seal in or out so your wearing in a new spot. when I installed mine I had the crank polished and used indian head sealant on the outside of the seal.

Did you use a Viton seal?

    Is it a stick car?
    Check the crank end play.
