find out how long the replacement will take, since the ATI guys on AR15.com haven't answered that question. most of the dealers don't know a thing it seems like.

the regular carbine models don't even have this "problem" at this point.

Exactly Chris, I don't want to send the shroud in and wait 6 months for replacement. I want to know the turnaround time before I send it in.

I guess we'll see what happens a couple months from now. I am also wondering if the new ones which seem to be getting rushed will be poor quality.


I took a couple pics of mine. I got it from a shop in arizona. classic army stock, leapers red/green dot(only 25 bucks on amazon), home made charging handle buffer and NcStar rail(fit like shit and had to be modified on the underside). I haven't shot it yet.

looks exactly like mine! haha, save for the red dot vs. reflex.

makes it worth so much more when you shoot it and realize the sight was only $25, hahaha. makes it that much more fun.

definitely keep it clean and oiled up for the bolt. if mine gets fired too much, it catches causing a bunch of misfeeds.

Update --------- I mailed my fake suppressor to ATI last Tuesday and received the replacement today. Looks identical to what I had, so I'm really not sure what the difference is. It was painless and quick, I would recommend not going through your dealer and just mailing it direct. The dealers have to mail in a certain amount of them at a time.
