    sled broke!! :( need help.

just wondering if this is worth fixing.. i have no idea how to fix it or what parts to buy.

sled is a 91 Yamaha exciter.

i think its the "swing arm" part in the rear..at least i think that's what its called... it looks as if it rusted most of the way and then snapped. and now the rear shock does nothing.. so basically riding with NO rear suspension. and when you get on it it seems as if the track and whole rear part moves side to side a little..

    on with the pics.

any info or constructive criticism is appreciated

its a 91 exciter 570 got just over 6k miles runs very strong. always starts. its never not started for me. has a brand new belt on it and a full tank of gas with new plugs.
track is in good shape. not studded tho.

only problem with this sled is the part thats broke. only reason im selling it is because i don't know how to fix it. and don't want to deal with trying to fix it.

you can still ride it the way it is. (tho i don't and its not recomended) but if you wanted to come check it out you can ride it in the yard ..

yea not a bad deal but welding should be no problem...although it does kinda look like a cast iron piece meaning you cant just mig weld it, it wont hold. if u need it welded regardless of material its made of, i could weld it at work. plus i live right down the road from franksville in muskego.

You would probably have to pull the skid apart so you gould even get at it to weld. And while you are that far you may as well just replace the broken part. Like others have said, you should be able to find a complete skid for around 100. It'll take you about 3-4 hours to swap it out probably.
