im leaving south range right now. i have 450mi on the sled now. the trails were rough, tho we rode all of 10mi of trail in the 350mi we put on in the last 4 days. with 3ft of snow pack settled you could just ride straight through the woods. we accomplished connecting two forest roads that never connected by crossing a creek and another creek with some technical down hill and a 5ft ledge drop over one of the creeks to get there, it was pretty intense. i have pics and vids ill post later.

don't count on powder, it's been warm up here in marquette for a while, but there's definitely enough snow up here where a little bit of warm won't do any harm.

for sure, i love it and with the 7" wide Sly Dog skis with 8in bars it handles like a short track. Its a lot of fun when you have or have someone in your group with a GPS. we just headed out and went straight through the woods. We would find and connect all kinds of forest roads.

if anyone is interested, i think that i am going to be heading to my place in tomahawk next friday night. nothing too serious, just log a few miles on saturday, get drunk saturday night, come home on sunday. they are supposed to get a bit of snow/rain/snow this weekend, and it should be enough to make the trails somewhat decent.
