    Handgun ammo of choice?

What ammo do you use? Or do you end up reloading?

For the glock i used some of the remington UMC that was $100 for 250 rounds since that was all they had left.

Just seeing what others are using out there. Forgot to save brass since one of the guy's here at work reloads.

Everyone says winchester white box for some cheap target ammo.

My favorit so far is the Remmington UMC 9mm Hollow Point. It's pretty accruate. Is a little dirty but aint bad.

    Other Ammo I like.
Fichocci - can be expensive to shoot

    Ammo I dislike
American Eagle, and PMC - Very Dirty shot about 100 rounds and the gun was dirtier then when I put over 400 rounds at mc miller using the Remmington.

Ammo I have but havent tried yet
    Winchester, Blazer

The white box of winchester ammo is $10.63 at Farm and fleet, but any handgun ammo is hard to get there it usally comes down to your luck when you go there to buy.

All the reviews I've read on American Eagle say its a very clean shot for its price point, I picked up a box of 50 for 11.99 to try. Searching for WWB next

i use remington mostly, stayaway from aluminum cased rounds, the coating they use to keep them from corroding goo's shit up
then I reload. saves a shit ton of money and I can have them made my way.

is the brass from those UMC remington's gonna be ok to do reloading with?

are their certain types of casings that I should stay away from for reloading besides those aluminum cased ones?

I'm just figuring on paying someone else to do the reloads. Just want to have a good "starting point" atleast.

He just did 400+ rounds for me,ranging from 357 wad cutters,magnums,9mm hollow points,.223 45 long colt fmj and hollow points and 45 acp as well as .38
he does a perfect job for me and Always seems to make them to my spec or better when he sees fit.
the 45 LC he made hollow point are rediculas i think i could cut down trees easily with them.

I had read that when you finally start doing them yourself, you can expect paying about .15/shot vs. the normal .50-.75/shot you pay for the normal winchester/remington stuff you buy everywhere. If prices go up on the regular pieces, you can still expect the ratio to be the same.

WWB and Remington UMC for plinking.

CCI Blazer Brass sucks. If there was a way to easily disassemble ammo I'd just tear them apart. Lack of consistency round-to-round irritates me.

American Eagle is hit and miss.

Federal and Speer, it depends on if you buy the cheap shit or the nice stuff.

I reload a lot of .40SW, I prefer WWB casings over UMC but UMC easily takes 4 reloads.
Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.

I should have bought an XD40.

I found like 7 boxes of WWB 100round at Farm and Fleet on Bluemound today. And I found the UMC stuff yesterday at the one on Rawson. The guys at the walmarts know me by sight now, haha.

Can't find shit for 9mm anywhere

If you're loading 45 ACP or smaller it's more expensive to reload. The only handgun round I load right now is .50ae. Not to mention, if you didn't stock up on primers 2 years ago when they were under $20 per 1000 they're next to impossible to find right now.

how far away is hortonville? i just bought a whole bunch through cabella's with $20 certs they have giong on now. So just buy enough to cover that $100 and use a cople of them. Just sucks it's gonna take till the 19th to get when they supposedly "have in stock"

I think i'm up to about 750 rounds of 40 S&W with maybe 200 empty for reloading.

Not the multiple thousands like you guys must have, hahaha

Stay away from berdan primed cases. Boxer primed brass should be most common (unless it is foreign military surplus) anyway so it is largely just an FYI.
