    ~ 10 Energy Star Fluoresent bulbs for $10 :-0 ~

    If you want to move this to the deal section go ahead but I figured I'd post it here so everyone can take advantage of this......

    So I just changed out all of my standard 60watt bulbs ( 10 total ) with these new Energy Star Fluorescent bulbs, they are 13watts and are just as bright if not brighter then the standard 60watt bulbs I have been using for ever.

    The box says :
    13w=60watt
    Light output 800 lumens
    Energy used=13watts
    Average Life=10,000 hours

    The brand name is GreenLite and for whatever reason the site has a glitch or has a message up, could be my browser.

    I purchased these for .99cents at Dollar Tree

    Any other hardware store for the same wattage wants $4 and up, I'm not really sure if brand matters but we will see.

    Today is the 2nd and I will update this next month and see how my Electric bill looks.

    Hell for $10 for 10 bulbs you can't go FUCKING WRONG

    Are these 2, 4 or 8 footers? Are they the 2-pin or 1-pin style?

    Ace Hardware runs that sale also Energy Star pays for the rebates as they are instant to the customer. The regular bulbs up to 100 watt equivalent are $.99 each, with no limit to a consumer. The "daylight" style which are much brighter are $1.99 each.

    CFL bulbs are deceiving though so be careful. If you are not in a room for longer than 15 minutes at a crack, you should not use these bulbs in that room. They only last the stated number of hours if you actually leave them on for longer each use. They don't handle constant on and off cycles nearly as well as a standard bulb. That being said, I have them in every fixture in my house, they make every style and base you can imagine. I have never had one burn out yet and ive had mine for about 3 years.
