    exhaust piping

where is the cheapest place to get some exhaust piping? I only need about 6ft tops. Diameter I think is somewhere between 2" - 2.5"

Anyone have anything laying around? I don't care if its new or not, as long as it isnt rusted to shit. Gotta at least be weldable.

Sure go to the auto service desk tell the guy what you want and he will call a guy in the garage who will cut it to lenght and write it up for you to cash and carry.

that'd be great. I was afraid they would only sell me like a 10ft stick of it when I really only need about half that.

hmm... I never had to decide what gauge I wanted.... What gauge is typical? I'm just going to be using it on my beater ford ranger.... Would 16 gauge get me by?

16 ga is pretty typical. I don't think you need anything thicker than that.
