why does it overheat and how bad i mean if u keep over heating it how long till the motor pops my sis needs a cheap reliable car but if the motors gonna let go in a month then nevermind

I haven't diagnosed why it gets hot but the temperature will keep climbing until you shut it down. How long it will last if driven as-is is anyone's guess..... Originally Posted by Ricky Bobby

BUMP this is a great deal as long as its not a blown head gasket, I6's are known for eating water pumps so I would look into that.

they're also known for cracked heads and HG's....but even if it needs a JY motor its still a good deal for being clean....CL is full of rusted to shit ones with considerably higher prices. Originally Posted by subliminal1284

The current engine is VERY tight and worth fixing even if the HG is toast. It started with ease when the outside temperature was 5*, has a surprising amount of power, and has no funny noises what so ever.....
