i put pacesetter lt's on my camaro this summer. The y pipe would bump the frame when i was hard on the acceleration. Then i threw in my stall and poly trans mount and it hasnt made any noises since.

This thread got pretty off topic... Best solution I could offer for the OP is get out the torch and hammer, do a little massaging. Brutish, but if you take your time, you wont butcher it.
In my experience, Pacesetter has been on the lower end of the quality spectrum, as far as headers go. Personally I'd say if you were going to invest in a set, get something like Kooks. Serious price, but the fit & finish is bar none, plus they're stainless.

A lot of guys who have them on their GTOs are complaining about surface rust already.

Most any kind of coating will not last, my buddy had jet hot coated hooker headers and his were rusting after 1.5-2 years. His car was stored in the winter too.
I just bought the uncoated headers because i really didn't care what they looked like. After 3 years they just had some light surface rust, still could see the paint in most places.
