    NV3500 matine question

Ok so I am trying to find out how to mate a NV3500 out of a 90 chevy p/u with a 4.3 to a LSx motor. I have been searching for hours but am having a hard time finding it out.

That's probably because the NV3500 is a *****. Just check out s10forums.com you'd be better off doing a T56 swap. I'm not sure if it's possible or even worth the time as an LSX would make quick work of a 3500.

Thank you for your .02 but you have not answered my question. If i wanted to know if the tranny was a POS then I would have asked that.

That was the answer. No one makes a conversion setup because of that very reason.

Great story but the new style NV3500 was put behind 4.8s for 5yrs. But you know better so I will just stop looking.

Hes right, if you want to make it fit behind a LS1 you have to get the one that was behind a 4.8, or make your own adapter because there isn't one out there.

Dont mean to sound like an ass but I really wish that people that are guessing or think that they are experts on things would do more research.

After I looked for several more hours I found out that the bell housing is the same with the exception of 1 unused bolt hole. Then with a LS flywheel they tranny will work. The difference is in the fly wheel.

But dont worry I will post pics when the tranny can fit in a 5 gal bucket.
