    Chris:

    Hawk:
    Part Number: HB483S.635
    Disc Brake Pad; HT-10 w/0.635 Thickness; Front;

Seems they only make 4 compounds for you and the HT-10 being the mildest. You will shit your brains out with these pads on the front guaranteed.

You weren't joking $290 bucks for em. That's one funky lookin pad too.

Yeah I don't want it fucking up the wheels during normal driving. Looks like only one day works. Who do we tell what class we'd like to be in? Just want novice. Is that on the signup sheet on that link?

Ya if its your first time they'll put you in D group with an instructor. The pads will dust like none other and squeek like hell on the street. Honestly a pad like that will own your rotors also.

    Probably better off here:

XP8 maybe AX6? Hopefully SSmike chimes in, he has alot more experience with Carbotech.

just come out and have fun!
you are absolutely correct, you do not need to be going "balls out"
that is how the foolish ones end up going off the track their first weekend out there!
it is FUN just to be able to go as FAST as you want to, without a ticket!

if you try to drive like a race car driver, they ALL crash!
i mean all race car drivers crash, not us having FUN at RA track day!

Chris, go with Race Temp pads in the front.

ANY track pad is going to dust much more than a street pad!

I tried to sign up via the website and it didn't seem to be too smooth. I think it was trying to email the form but it didn't really work. In any case I'll make sure the registration goes through, and I'll see those who are going on Saturday.

    Already counting down the days!

That's the plan, I dont know maybe a full session.
Those XP-10's & old tires combined with no ABS = challenge.
Once those pads heated up it was not fun.
