    My car. P0507 code

Idle control system, RPM higher than expected.. every now and then it jumps up from idle to about 2k rpm's stays there for a second and drops back down. it just happens at random times sometimes even when im driveing or pulling up to a stop it will rev up then drop down..

any idea on what could cause this? dirty air filter? MAF? bad throttle position sensor?

    TIA

Lol its prob my tune now that its cold out and can get more air so it hangs. the delay needs to be tweaked as it should hang slightly while decel for max brake booster vac but as u hit 10 mph or less it should drop. Only other things ive seen that happen is the TPS read above 0% when off the gas, that will do it too. Could be cable slack issue or other problem. Surging is related to a slighly rich condition at idle though too.

Also check for vacuum leaks they can cause the idle to go high & cause the idle to be instable & surge.
