    Finally 9sec..........

After seeing last import wars it definitely inspired me to get into the single digits. 1.5weeks to build it from ground up minus the chassis/cage which was already finished in 2006. Engine, turbo system, 1000hp fuel system, etc etc had to be done in 1.5 weeks. 4 guys and a few days later we finished...1/2 day on the dyno and turned in ~800whp@10,500 rpms.

1st and only run yielded 9.902@155.92mph with a crappy 1.70 60ft(usually 1.6 fts). Track wasn't prepped in the morning....1pm they finally prepped it. Too late for us to try again. Fresh setup out so didn't finish parachute. Took it out to test for straightness, but hit 9s w/o parachute and 9s license. Couldn't stop on time and had to downshift to stop...hurting #2 cylinder. Valve nicked piston....... Might get it up and running again in a few days to try for mid 9sec@160+mph w/ parachute. If not it'll be ready for Import Wars 2010.

This is my personal street car...not a full decked out race setup. Basic KYB suspension, OEM gas tank, nothing cut up, OEM windows/glass, just no rear seats......

Hey dude.. couldn't have done it w/o your vp c116. got there the night before import wars....9pm or so to pick up 2-5gallons. your bro was super cool in helping me out.

anyone in need of race gas late at night that comes with awesome customer service...then go to the shell on loomis across the street from Wind lake.

btw... didn't know you guys owned that gas station. we've fished windlake numerous times and always get gas, bait, and food there. nice to know their are friends when we come fishing there.

Also a guy from iowa came too and he bested 10.0@149mph.... all very close yet so far. The gap between 10s-9s is BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG........... it's a big sigh of relief when you accomplish it in "street and fwd trim".

There are a few guys in madison area and up north GB/oshkosh area that I heard of, but never came out. Definitely potential in WI, but IL has more motivation. I can think of at least 5 IL cars at the moment that can compete and get into the 9s with just a bit more work.

next year will be the battle of the single digits in FWD Street trim....
I'm just glad to be the 1st to break the barrier....
