    Fuel odor from under hood//stalled

    Hey Guys,

I have a weird issue. I am smelling what I think is a raw fuel smell coming in thru the vents when I start my car. It's been every time I have started the car for the past three days or so. I have looked at the injectors and fuel rails and everything appears dry.

Then this morning I was merging onto the freeway rolling along about 40-50 and then the car just shut off, the only dash light that came on was the battery light. It did not sputter or make any noise when it shut off.

Then all of a sudden the battery light shut off and the car had power again. I touched nothing, I never shut off the key nor tried to crank it to restart it.

Does anyone have any ideas what it might be?

    Forgot about this.

It ended up that 3 of 8 spark plugs were loose enough that the car was loosing compression and going into a reduced power mode. The fuel smell was coming from around the loose plugs and sucking right into my air intake.

Somehow, I managed to not eject any of the plugs, I am so damn lucky....
