    2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sunroof

For some reason my 05 grand cherokee's sunroof will function properly, other than when i close it, it sits down from the fully closed position by about 1/4 of an inch. It will not seal while closed. My mom's 05 grand never had a problem. Any help?

There is a proceedure for reseting the sunroof but it also involves a software flash update.
You can PM me to see what we can do.

yeah it sounds like the ecm for the sunroof is out of time so to speak.on our toyota roofs if the one touch button is pushed and held in to long the roof goes into a diagnostic mode, thus screwing up the motor timing.
your roof sitting to low tells me somehow thats where the motor and ecm if it it has one for it feel that its closed all the way. should be a simple fix.

Yeah that makes sense. Sounds like i'll have to take it in and get it flashed or can I just take the battery out?

The proceedure involves pulling the fuse while the sunroof is moving, resetimg it then flashing the module

Thanks a lot for all your help guys! I ended up pulling the fuse as the sunroof was moving, disconnecting the battery, and then was able to press the vent button which for whatever reason closed it to where it was supposed to close, and all was well then.
