need help 98 olds bravada

drove fine all weekend. then tuesday morning i got up to go to work. did the usual, eat got dressed and left, got out to the truck and go to start it and nothing, doesnt turn over. everything works, windows radio wipers, just when i turn the key everything cuts off. and it doesnt even try to turn over, i tried jumpin it thinkin who knows, also gave the starter a good couple wacks, truck didnt do anything unusual lately alls was good till i tried to start it. also i checked all the fuses. thinkin possibily a ignition switch?? just dont want to spend the 70 bucks if that aint the problem. thanks

could be ing switch, key switch or else check all cables and grounds

Just because you hit the starter with a hammer doesn't mean that isn't the problem. You need to get a test light on the "S" terminal while someone cranks it and see if you are getting power to the starter solenoid. Start there, and save money by not guessing.
