I was just talking with someone at work today about diesel engines and how chevy never releases any of it here. So I went on GM worldwide and started searching.
In Thialand they sell the colorado with a 2.5 or 3.0 Commonrail CTI diesel engine, the 3.0 comes with a huge hood scoup that feeds into an intercooler mounted on the top of the engine. The 3.0 is rated at 161 HP from the factory, couldn't find a torque spec.
WTF, why can't I get that here? Anyone know if there is a cost effective way to import one? The thialand stuff is all right hand drive.
Also on GM Brazil the S10 is still alive and well, the crew cab looks bad ass and again its available with a diesel.
I want a small 4x4 truck with a decent diesel in it that I can get some good milage with and not be a complete slug. Any suggestions?
