Looking for a cheap starter bike!

Nothing too crazy, preferable bigger than 250cc.

A friend is selling a Bandit 600. It's Blue and super clean. He had an SV650 and this was for his wife, whom only rode it on one long trip and then it pretty much sat. I think it's an '03. I saw it in his garage yesterday when I was over there for burgers and beers.

If this is something you would be interested in I can give you his number.

The cheaper the better, not looking to start out on a 100+hp rocket. I've seen a bunch of old honda/kawi/suzuki 550-650s around $600-$1000 so that's about ballpark for a starter bike.

Its going to be hard to find anything under $1000 that is rideable. IMO $2500 is about the lowest you can bike a bike. Their are some out there for less, but you'll end up putting money into or looking like a total fag riding a 1970 honda 250.
