Overall everything went well. The Digital 7 went haywire and did what it wanted, not what we programmed. When we left here we had to pull nothing out on the hit, but when we got there we found more power and the track couldn't handle it. One pass it blew the tires off, I rolled back into it and carried the front end about 400ft in the air and went 8.40@175- came to find out it pulled timing out after I danced it off of the limiter on the 1-2 shift a little bit and thats why the mph was low. We made the "Quick 8" program but went out first round against a Top Sportsman car (high 6s). At least the guy won the "Quick 8" and the $1000. purse, made me look a little better losing to the winner! We knew the team that raced against him in the finals of the "Quick 8" and helped them with whatever they needed. If they show that in August when the episode airs you can all laugh at my "sweaty helmet head" because they had the cameras in our faces in the finals! We answered alot of questions, helped whomever we could, and had a great time. BTW, the "Quick 16", the racers who run for $10K and the toolbox, were a mid to high 9 second field, so I think you will enjoy seeing some pretty fast stuff and some violent launches. Cool stuff
Now you know I looked at alot of cars this weekend and saw many things-some cool and some not! I just want to say how happy and proud I am for having the friends and influences I have. ALL of Brew City has some really cool stuff and we are all fortunate. We are all products of our environment, and I can assure all of you that we have HIGH standards compared to most others Thanks for all of the support.
Dan, I have a nice pic for you, I think it turned out well!
