    projekt 'lude begins.....

well Jer (jeeperz) picked up a 92 prelude for a decent price. it has a 2.2l with the 5 spd car runs decent and has decent miles and go figure we started to modify it the yeehaw way

last owner did a good job at rigging the exhaust so this evening we did header back, straight through cat with 2 1/2 pipe all the way back and performance muffler.

^had a flowmaster on it lol

    ^all the old parts

    ^new parts

with the silencer left in the muffler car doesnt sound too bad has a deep tone yet and now all the exhaust exist out the back

    plenty more to come.....

Fun way to spend an afternoon. So nice not to deal with dragging, leaky, falling apart exhaust..

Now I just need more money so we can get more parts!

Haha, nice. I had a 92 accord and the exhaust was going to sht. I priced it out and it was much cheaper to do a header, test pipe and catback than it was to replace the factory stuff from fleet farm or whatever. Gotta love ebay, lol.

2.5 be a bit of overkill, especially with a barely existent cat. good luck either way, enjoy the rasp

Actually with the cherry bomb like cat, resonator and the silencer in the muffler it's not bad.

Considering I've been driving it 2 weeks with a huge leak from before the cat, a hole in the cat, after the cat, at the next weld, and the next weld, and the hole in the muffler. It's faaaaaar quieter right now.

better then the rigged shit that was on there, cat had a hole in it, after cat was a ID to ID connector barely on, muffler had a hole in it, not to mention half the hangers were not there this should help the car breath a lot better!

My thoughts exactly. I thought this was going to be a home brew turbo setup.

So, when I had the 85 Supra with a motor swap and a fart can.. I wasn't a ricer then?? lol

And Jake, it's really not loud at all. If I drive nicely and just go to work (shifting no higher than 3200) it's quiet. Above 4K it gets kinda ricey but keeps a modest tone.

Did it bolt up accurately? Yes, it was a perfect fit.
Everything included? All hardware and gaskets came with it.
Any performance gain? A bit on the low end, but I haven't gotten on it too hard.
Is it quieter than the bullshit that was on there? VERY much so
Was it affordable? Cheaper than buying the OEM replacement stuff.
