It didn't trap 134 Dave, it was in the mid 120's. I think TRS is a little fuzzy on his reporting... 134 MPH, uh... no.

Oh yea the GT500 was a clocks-off car and he's a friend of mine. I raced him twice and he does not want his times published.

--mmm, no it did do an 11.5 @ 123 tho...with launch control.
No LC just flooring it, went 11.7. The winter package mud&snow rated tires on that cold day/track, launch control'd would spin tire enough to engage traction control usually and ruin the ET. I'm hoping warmer weather and better tires hook better at strip in future.
It doesn't hit traction control at all on the street, so should hit low 11's on the real street. I had my 2 Vericom boxes to get street correction factors for the boxes, and my best corrected street times would be 11.11@126.8 with LC, 11.37@124.5 no LC so I'm happy enough with car, it is what it is.

You're thinking of that kid that used to run around Ozaukee county with what was at the time a high 14-second GT with "Payup" on the plates...

Thanks, Greg. I needed a reliable car so my Mitsubishi 3000 can be down with whatever its issues are that day, yet still not have to drive the big diesel truck. The GTR isn't the fastest thing around but it's fun and reliable (knock wood).

My Avatar pic everywhere is still the pic YOU took in my 3000GT at Road America, looking into the passengerside mirror at some Vette I think we passed...thanks again
