89 Camaro RS vert for sale. $2200

Buyer couldn't buy, so back up it goes.

Great deal for someone who can fix it's minor problem. I need money for a supershaker!!! It's an auto 305, IROC rims. Will not start (new starter, never even turned, lol) must have an electrical bugaboo somewhere. When it does start has a flowmaster exhaust that sounds GREAT. New battery and alternator as well. Has been repainted recently (like a grayish blue), body is in great shape. Top is in OK shape, not great but not horrid. Any Maro guy may be able to come over and get it to start and drive it home.

Oh, and I did get it to turn over, but it wouldn't start yesterday, to cold

And with a substantial down payment, yes, for the right person I would take payments. Have done it with another person on this board before.

I am not a member there, but if I get a sale through a refferal, I would pay said person a finders fee.

I also did get it to start last night by dumping gas into the throttle body, will not stay running however. Did almost set the fiance on fire when the car backfired when she was dumping gas in while I was inside the car turning it over, old cars=good times

If it fired from gas in the TB then my guess is it either needs a fuel pump or there is an issue with the VATS system that is keeping it from turning the pump on.

Educate me on the VATS system, this poor boy has never heard of such technology. When it was delivered I drove it, I mean it HAS to be something simple!!!

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? When you turn the key on you should hear the pump prime right away. There should be a shrader valve on the engine some where to hook up a guage or at least press it with a screw driver and see if it squirts or not. I think the TBI cars ran at around 40 psi?

VATS in the third gens was a PITA. Basicaly a bunch of sensors / contacts that if any of them isn't in the correct possition the computer won't let the car start. I don't know a ton about it because my car never had it to begin with. Do some digging around on Thirdgen.org they will be able to help you over there for sure.

tbi motors dont have a schrader valve. and tbi motoors also only need about 15 psi.
