    Taurus sho that dies

    I am working on a 1994 sho that dies when car gets warm and looses spark and will not restart till it sits any ideas please. I think it is a dis module but its a 175.00 part want ti bu sure

    Pull the module and check the resistance. There should be an OE spec for the value of a "stock" unit. You should do this for all electrical components involved. I found an issue in a coil pack on a Chevy this way and it saved me a ton. You can usually find a salvaged unit for $60.

    It could be the DIS but possibly something else, if you're not able to test it I'm sure someone has a good used one that you could try out at minimum.....

    Is the DIS still grounded correctly?

    module, coil or the crank sensor would be best guess but yea scan for codes or see how the crank sensor is performing before it dies

    I checked the factory service manual in the shop at school...according to it, this is considered "normal operation" for the SHO's.
