The worst made lowers out there will still fire under 1/2"
MOA, its the upper that dictates the groups. For every
manufacture out there you will find someone who had
to file a little here or their to accept parts, just the
nature of producing Milspec parts off a 40yr old design.

If I gave you a BillyBobs cheapo lower and a Lewis Machine
Tool composite lower, a table and a micrometer you would
have a tough time saying what was better less the way one
    would look astheticaly.
Right on. At risk of opening up a large arument......it's like the difference between Ford, GM, Dodge, Toy's, Mit's,.....you can name the differences all day, but at the end of the day they all get you home from work.

    Put even simpler:
    http://www.atactvblog.com/wp-content...dis-large3.jpg
With that upper and a table spoon you could fire a round,
dont even need the lower but to lock the chamber closed
and cycle the next round after the trigger group is stroked.

Ive owned the Del-ton lowers in the past, I wouldnt put del-ton in the same sentence or catergory compared to LMT. But as you know, talk is cheap. So I say this, bring one of those del-ton lowers over when you get it. We can compare it to your DPMS lower on your remington, and the LMT, Colt, And RRA lowers I have. We can take measurements and compare machining and finnish quality.

Again, my oppinion... But we can back this up by a fair comparison to others when they arive.

But at this point, buy what you can.... Who knows whats going to be available next month.... Im glad I have a hookup at LMT...

So, where ya going with this? Your stuff is best? These won't work? WTF?
What is your point here? Measure them up, what is that going to prove?
35+ year old M16's that are worn still rock and roll with the best of them, so really what is your point? Deltons aren't as pretty, a little loose, big F'ing deal they will work and shoot as good a the guy pulling the trigger.
Do you just want or need someone to say you are right? Look elswhere if ya do.
While I'm thinking about it why don't you hook up all these folks with your family hookup at LMT. I would say you're being a bit selfish if you don't.

I was more or less wondering what difference it made if it was a High-Shelf or Low-Shelf lower, if any at all. I see what the physical difference is, what is the difference besides the height of the shelf inside?

The "shelf" is the area inside the rear of the lower reciever just under where the rear take-down pin connects. A "low shelf" reciever allows for the use of DIAS (Drop In Auto Sear) Assembly. Read more here

I'm thinking about picking up a couple to build. I don't know much about all of that yet but have been wanting to build one for a while. How would we go about shipping these and whatnot through a FFL dealer? From what i see people are pretty happy with the del-ton rifle kits, i think it would be fine for me since i would just be plinking with it anyway.

Yeah i got that, but i don't really want to go to eagle river to pick them up. When is he going to bring them to the gun show down here? I'm tired so maybe i'm not getting it, lol.

We touched on it before but its worth mentioning again,
the lower means nothing to accuracy or dependability, it
is simply a housing that hold the trigger and is the conduit
for the remaining pieces (important ones like upper barrel).

You can buy a nickel plated 45 or a blue 45, same results
when the trigger is pulled but some may like the finish.

Yeah i know a lower is a lower, kind of, lol. I was thinking about building their whole rifle kit. As long as i could shoot a 3" group at 100 yds i would be happy, and i think that should be doable with their kit.

The way I see it is pretty much any gun I get is going to be more accurate than I am capable of thoroughly utilizing. I'm jittery, and no matter how hard I try, I can't shoot better than 4 MOA crouched nor standing.

Comparison of the $140 Roggio Arsenal lowers ($140 each, $130 for 5) compared to an RRA.
