Drive Your Car at Road America! :)

    Fellow Motorsport Enthusiast,

The Midwest F-Body Association has opened registration for its spring, ‘09 event.

    The dates will be April 18 & 19, 2009.

We are still working on updating the website so please print the attached registration form and Liability waiver and mail it to the address below. You can pay by Check or Paypal.

The email address for Paypal payments is mfba@fbody.us and for Checks please make them out to Midwest F-body Association.

For those who are familiar with our event already, there will be some changes made regarding registration procedures.
    Changes Noted Below:

    Payment Cost:

    Date Range_______________Weekend________1 Day
    Before Jan 15 ____________ $395 ___________$230
    After Jan 16 to Mar 1_______ $445___________$255
    Mar 2 to Event_____________$495___________$280

The Mailing Address has also Changed to the Following: MFBA
    Attn: Carmen Drays
    4924 Fielding Road
    Rockford, IL 61102

For our upcoming April, 2009 event we are urging that most payments and registration forms be submitted before January 15, 2009 to cover the cost of the deposit for the track rental. Most other aspects of the event itself will remain the same, however we are looking to add several popular vendors onsite that will be selling parts. For those who are not familiar with our event, we are going into our 9th year running and offer the opportunity for the automotive enthusiast to drive their car on the famed Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI.

We have 4 different run groups available so that whether you are a novice that has never driven on a track before, a seasoned race driver or somewhere in-between, you will be placed with drivers of similar experience. Our event caters to you getting effective track time in a controlled environment, and having fun while doing it.

This is a 2 day non-timed, non-competitive event and instructors will be available to for coaching and ride-alongs.
Event alumni includes members from the SCCA, NASA, Midwest Council, Northwoods Region Shelby Club, Porsche Club of America, Badger Bimmers, American LeMans Series, and many other fine organizations.

For further event information or questions, please visit http://roadamerica.fbody.us or email us at roadamerica@fbody.us

    Thank You,
    Midwest F-body Association

Is this the only event like this this year? I'd like to do it, as this is the direction I'm taking my car; but I don't think it will be ready to be flogged on a road course in mid April. I'd like to put some miles on it on the street to shake the bugs out.

Haha, Any car with over 300 hp should be able to do 140+ on the front straight. I'll be winding out 5th gear. Not the place to see if your brakes work or not. What brakes are you running and how much does the car weigh?

I would guess the car weighs 3500 pounds. the brakes, oh, those are 13 inch cobras on the front and 11.65's on the rear...

Factory Cobra calipers. It's just factory 03/04 cobra shit front and rear. Not the best shit ever to stop a car. It's a lil better than the 10.5" front rotors and 9" rear drums that were on the car stock.
