The only time I wouldnt get traction was if i sprayed it at 50 mph with the same shot. The combination of the trans downshifting into 2nd and spraying was an instant loss of traction. Driving in rain was not bad either. Id buy them again. I ran many low 12 second passes with them. I got atleast 10k out of them id say with all the racing I did.

Yeah but you had the had the advantage of a 16" version with more sidewall yet and less than 400hp to the wheels on the gun and the automagic also kept them in check.

I am hoping the M/T's (even in the 305/35/18) are stickier than the Nittos were. I already know they won't last as long though

I'm getting a set of Sumitomo HTRZs, but they are 315's and also stepping down from 3:73s to 3:55s. I can't afford a set of Nitto 555Rs. I'm not gonna expect to spray out of the hole but I'm not worried about that. Not like I'm some hardcore drag racer/street racer. lol

When I get my M/T's this spring my Nittos will still have tread, I can save them for you if you want.

Just don't drive them in the Dells during Automation, I got a ticket last year for them not having enough tread depth

    Dear Kelley,

Dave (MSGTGT) has the KDWs and doesn't seem to be pleased. They have lots of road noise and still don't hook good off the line. They aren't the best wet and aren't good when it's cold out.

I have the Eagle F1 A/S and they work well for my 300 HP heavy car. I think Goodyear has come out with some F1 Supercar tires in various sizes. I believe that was what is on the GT500 or the Ford GT.

I would give those a shot because the wet weather performance and the wear rating is really good. I know I thrashed on mine all last season and I'll get two more seasons on them at least.

Yeah, Dave is at about 460 to the wheels at 6K RPM. I know his is a Centri - Novi 2200, so he's probably not building too much power down at the 2500 RPM his stall is set. I'm sure he's right around 300 from the bottom, but with NOS, you should be there too.

    Update......

I did get the mickeys. 305/35/18 and had them mounted today had it on jack stands waiting to get the rims back as both rear tires went flat on me at work and had to tow it home the other day so the mickeys coming in put me back on the road. Havent driven the car yet as the family had my attention today but tomorrow I am off and out for a drive and get some pics of the rear as that bitch is all filled up now back there. Just a hair too big too with the car dropped and the system back there they might rub? Might have to rolled the fenders in the rear but will be worth it in the end!

    They look mean on there

well Im about to go out for the first drive after detailing the wheels which for me means taking them completey off the car and cleaning the backside too. gonna take the car out for a nice deep clean. Hopefully no tire rub (crosses fingers)

How wide of a rim do you have in the back?

    10.5" rim out back.

There is about a 1/8" of rub on the fender lip. Just enough to make a black line like a marker drew it on the paint on the lip of the fender. hits on top of tire versus on the sidewall so I'm not really worried about it as it only hits if there is a dip when turning. Will roll it asap its just not bad enough to not drive or worry about damaging the tire

the streets are still cold as shit so hard to tell you what the stick factor is but just the 305 vs 275 is a incredible difference in overall grip but also in turns too you feel the rear planted a little safer. Im sure I could make it spin but today didnt need to try as when I took off it just planted nicely. Warm streets??? Oh man, will make me want more power....oh wait nitrous is almost done YAY

I just ordered the 305/45/18, I am hoping for no rub as well, but I needed to see if something with a bigger sidewall will hook better. I can always go back to the 305/35, as I know that fits!!!
