These work great, in stock at Home depot. If you buy a cheaper
one from Harbor freight you will be disapointed.

just curious.... what are the main differences from the home depot one and the harbor freight one? what kind of disappointment could I expect?
Lit666 might have one.. They rep Champbell Hausfeld..
Almost EVERYTHING from harbor freight is complete crap.

That link was of a Lincoln Electric welder, carried everywhere but Home depots always seam to stock them. You realy cant go wrong buying the cheapest Miller or Lincoln you can find, if you cant get there little welders to work then you cant weld. I have one of the $400 Lincolns here at home and I even set it up for aluminum welding.
I've welded for a long time so I can get those cheap HomoFreight ones and Northern tool ones to lay a decent bead but the planets need to be aligned, everything spotless ect. If you dont have a lot of experience welding a
the cheap ones are not a good starting point, if your a proficient welder any low fequency box will seam body panels well enough for home use.

try indiana oxygen, i got a millermatic 180 from them for 589 shipped.
how much are you looking to spend?
Must have bought that a couple years ago, prices are WAY up from that right now. Russ, that Lincoln is not setup for gas either, so you're stuck with flux core. Lincoln, Miller are both great brands. I recently bought my HH 187 for 539.00+tax from Tractor Supply, but their prices has recently gone up.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Wow your not kidding, I believe my setup that I dont even see on there web site is a SP175, 110 v and had gas hookup, paid like
$400 for it just a couple years ago and another $70 for a toothed drive wheels and plastic liner for aluminum. I've got under $550 into it with tank, replacement on there site would be over $750!

I have the Home Depot one listed in this thread. very little use. wasn't really looking to sell it, but I don't really need it either.
I have a used Snap-On unit, works well for 400.
"Never underestimate old guys"
I have the home depot Lincoln 135. Works great on most everything. Good power range, it's already setup for gas. I think that's the one you would want as long as you'd be running gas. Otherwise the Lincoln 100 is a little cheaper.

yeah i was looking to run a gas setup. All I might ever weld is body panels or some pretty light fabrication.
New one out of your price range?
Post a craigslist want ad. You'll get plenty of hits. Or search for welder. Ebay is good too!
