Apparently my .40 has too much bark for her.
I was think about a .380 or maybe a nine.....not really sure yet. What do you guys recommend for something just to shoot (no .22's please...lol.)?
I was looking at the Bersa Thunder .380's.

380 or even a 25 would probably do her just fine
.38 special. Honestly, it's reliable, cheap, and not much kick. Not much accuracy either though... but with the right ammo it could still stop someone.
My wife liked her .380 Makarov and .380 Taurus Milenium Pro, But the recoil isn't that much less than a nine and 9mm ammo is cheaper. We also had a 9mmTaurus MilPro at the same time as the .380, not that much diff in recoil if any

I have shot the Bersa .380 and I really like it. A good friend of mine has one and I don't know how many thousands of rounds he has shot through it, but he has never had an issue with it.
Never shot the Taurus Pro, or any Taurus for that matter, but I heard they are pretty nice.
Let us know what you decide. Jamie is looking for something in that range too.

Perhaps a CZ-83 in .380..or an 82 in 9x18? Small, cheap, well built, concealable as hell. Mak like.
My wife has a Bersa thunder .380 and loves it,just the right amount of kick and very easy to handle for her. if your wife would like to try it let me know.

Every time this topic comes up your going to get another vote for the XD 9mm, and the XDM 9mm is even better! Any Taurus semi-auto in my opinion is crap, no matter what ammo your shooting through it. Its like buying the cheap copy over the real deal. You get what you pay for... and in firearms its just not worth going with a cheap copy.

I never had any problem with our tauruses. They functioned fine and were just as well put together as any other polymer framed pistol I've ever handled.
You XD guys are like a cult

What does she need it for? Invading a small country or shooting pop cans?
