gears such as 4:10s or 4:30s be to much for a nitrous car?

I know one person running 4.10s with nitrous and it felt right, as long as you're easy on the button. Don't know about 4.30s..

I know someone who runs 4:10s and a 100 shot.

I guess it just depends on your motor, suspension, tires, tranny, how much nitrous you wanna spray, and if you wanna spray right off the line or not.

    A 4.10 gear will run 118mph at 6250rpm with a 26" tire
    A 4.30 gear will run 112mph at 6250rpm with a 26" tire

    A bone stock 5.0 5spd should around 110mph on a 150 shot

I would not go any higher than a 4.10, I'd personally do some 3.73s to leave room for more upgrades in the future but I guess it depends on your goals. Or you could just switch to a 27 or 28 inch tire in the future if you needed to.

I your engine can rev high enough and you've got enough traction, then no, it shouldn't be too much.

running a 75 dry on a 26 tire DR with 4.10 thru a 5 speed. I never spray out of the whole. car makes 300 RWP 360TQ NA. I wouldn spray out of the whole. I use it when rolling in the middle of at least 2nd second, I run a 275 nitto though. The 2-3 shift comes pretty quick when its on the smack.
If a hammer, crescent wrench, duct tape, or JB Weld can't fix it........Its gotta be a electrical problem

What size tire and what ratio transmission? Transbraked 3 speed or is it a manual?

I sprayed like the Orkin Man one second after launch with 4.10s and 31x10.50s stickies on a 2.48 first gear on a transbrake. If I had DRs I waited until second gear.

dont do the 4.30, with the 5.0s and the ammount of spray you want, RPM will be what you want to avoid, you want the pig to hit hard stick a 28" tall tire under it, 410 gear. and that will work fine with the hit that you want to run.
