    Yankees are at it again..

Signed Mark Teixeira for 8 years $180 mil.

This is getting to be ridiculous!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Manny get a contract with the Yanks next.

Makes me hate that team even worse. Why is there no salary cap in MLB again?

Remember the last time the Yankees were spending like this, they didn't win anything. The best Yankee teams weren't built with a ton of free agents, it doesn't guarantee anything. I'll admit these signings look alot smarter though than ones made in the past. But recall the idiotic big money free agent signings such as Carl Pavano, Randy Johnson, Clemens 07' was a total bust, Johnny Damon and even Jason Giambi. Giambi & Damon were solid players but nothing like they were before the Yankees and made insane amounts for how they performed.

I still hate the Red Sox more because their fans are more annoying, IMO. But yes the Yankees suck too .

This also bumps the Brewers #1 pick from the Yankees for Sabathia down to a #2 pick, because Texiera was rated higher than CC. Boo!

Being a New Yorker I am a Yankees fan, but I dont think anyone needs to worry, we all know what happens when you have too many gajillion dollar superstars in one place.

    Why the hate?

If the Brewers had the money, and spent money like that, locals would never complain.

If the Brewers were like that I wouldn't be a fan of them most likely, at least not as much. None of my favorite teams local or out of state are big market spending teams...for a reason. Guess I like underdogs.

There is a Luxury Tax in MLB but thats basically a drop in the hat for the Yankees concidering their contract with Time Warner for 50 million a year.
