I heard that they were going to send Maddux to Texas?
If so that would suck, I really liked Maddux.
From the story
I sure as hell hope they keep Maddux, I've always been a big fan of his workMelvin also encouraged Macha to retain pitching coach Mike Maddux, bullpen coach Bill Castro and first-base coach Ed Sedar.
the guy doesnt even know how to put his jersey on right! lol

i would have prefered Brenly, but the article on yahoo was dead on. Mancha is taking over a team exactly the same as his Athletics before, we potentially are going to lose our best 2 pitchers. however, we have a way more talented team in the field. he led those teams to an average of 88 wins a season. doesn't sound like a bad hire at all, i just like Brenly's track record a bit better

I would of prefered Brenly too..
Macha is an ok hire, he had talented teams who would of won without him too, IMO. He was fired in Oakland because of his communcation problems though, after leading them to the ALCS. Some respected veterans really didn't like him, I thought Kendall was one of them but I might be mistaken. I'm an A's fan so I'm aware of his work...only other knock is that he can tend to leave a pitcher in too long, like Yost used to.
