It's beautiful and all......but I would SO rather have an old Challenger.....or a Charger. Late 60's......Those were so damn sexy.....

I take it this is the Viper replacement then?
Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.

The "axing" of the Viper hasn't happened...but it's hard to say what might happen.
At this time, no one announced that the Viper will die in 2011; that's just when the current model was to be replaced... of which there has been nothing forthcoming. THIS is what has led to speculation that it'll be axed.
BUT, there's the distinct possibility that the replacement is just delayed while dollars spent developing the viper replacement is allocated elsewhere.
Another possibility that's been openly talked about is selling off the Viper entirely as a standalone car company. It's profitable so there may be those who wish to continue it's production and development...Cerebus has indicated they do have interested customers.
Then of course, is the possibility that the viper is just axed totally. Possible? Yes. Certain? No.
Anything that says "it's done and that's confirmed" isn't accurate at all.
Personally, I doubt the v-10 would make it's way into the challenger though...there is, however, the 6.4 Hemi that'll be coming out (hoping, but not counting on it being all AL) that should produce ~ 500hp or so (one source indicated 500++, another just shy of 500). Sure, it's not 600hp, but it'll lack at least 200lbs on the nose, and if an all AL comes out, 350lbs less on the nose compared to a v-10.

Well ... I should I have been more specific and targeted my dislike for the 67 body style. I'd take a 68 or there-after.
