ps i am signed up!!!!!!!! this will be my 4th time running at RA.
i hit 140 MPH in three places a lap, at that track!!!!!!!

I think I have asked this b4, but, is this the standard "touring class"???

what does that mean? standard touring class.

this is what is called an "OPEN TRACK EVENT"

meaning, you get to go out on the track, for a certain amount of time, ( 20 minutes a session ), and follow certain rules.

there are 25 cars that go out at a time, spaced out by about 15 seconds apart...
you go as fast as you want, for the 20 minutes.

1. if you come up behind a slower car, keep your distance, follow, and wait for a safe strait away to pass. No Passing in the turns! {the slower car is supposed to help you pass him}

2. if a faster car comes up behind you, CONTINUE at your safe speed, and when you Finish a Turn, wave the driver to pass you, and pause your acceleration out of the turn till he passes.

I'm going to try and make it this year.

We hold a similiar event up at BIR (Brainerd International Raceway) which isn't as good of a track as Road America.

You really don't know how much fun driving your car can be until you do an event like this.
