    2008 Pontiac G5 (SOLD)

    It's on Autotrader.

It gets around 28mpg on that trip from Waukesha to Sussex. It gets ~37 between Waukesha and Cottage Grove/Madison at 72mph. It'll beat 40mpg if you keep it at 55mph.

I want a truck. So some kind of a trade for a 99up GM fullsize pickup would interest me. I'm after a standard cab standard (6.5') box 4x4 or a extended cab standard box 4x4.

Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.

No, not so much. Maybe a stripmodel standard cab shortbox 98up for a commuter, but this one is a little too bling for DD material that won't haul my 20' car hauler. Nice looking, but doesn't really fit my needs.

Yeah, it is pretty fun and economical. 148 earth-shattering horsepower and 152 nut-cracking ftlbs of torque.

Be prepared to take the beating of a lifetime. You're better off hanging on to it. In fact, once you find out how much they aren't going to give you you're better off re-posting it on Craigslist with the new price plus whatever tax incentive you 'd gain by trading it in... plus a few bucks.

Holz was the most friendly when I tried to trade in my Silverado and they basically offered me what I could sell the drivetrain and sheetmetal for. Boucher basically laughed at me while having the same damn truck, except rusty with 4,000 more miles, for three times what they offered me. Carmax offered me less than auction prices. And all this was in November of last year. Ended up selling it for Bluebook in January.

Hall offered me 12000 for it, I have lots of family working at the dealer and the used car guy is very fair to us. Heiser offered 8, I laughed my balls off.

Wow, that's not bad at all compared to everyone else I know that's been getting rid of their GMT800s. I'd strip the rest off of it you can and trade it. That's like another $600 saved in sales tax too so it'd be like getting $12,600 for it.

I wish I could find someone that'd give me more than a pinless hand grenade for the G5. There are like ZERO manual Cobalts/G5s with 5 bolt wheels and cruise for sale so I know people want them. This one came from Fond Du Lac and it was the closest one. The 2007 and older lack head curtain airbags unless they're upmodel... and the strippers rarely had cruise. 4 bolt wheels FTL. My G6 wheels fit the G5 and look pretty good on it.

^ I bet its the same price if you don't trade anything in. I'm thinking it has to be, I was looking at some used HHR's at their Chevy store and they are priced at 18 grand. You can get a brand new HHR for 16,900 without a trade in so why the hell would you pay 18 for an hhr with 34,000 miles on it?

I lowered the price to $11,995. There are some strip-model rental Cobalts I've got to compete with now.
