What is a SPOON engine? It must be a Japanese model or something but what makes it so great? How much power is it? I watched the movie last nite again and got me curious on wadafa it was.

If a hammer, crescent wrench, duct tape, or JB Weld can't fix it........Its gotta be a electrical problem
Sppon is a tuner in Japan that specializes in Honda Motors.

I have Spoon Strut bars, and a Spoon Balanced crank. IMO same $hit but overpriced.

It's what HSV is for Holden.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.

Let me know how many $'s you'd like to wager that its a 4.6L and I will prove you wrong. Jeremy has been spending to much quality time with Santa

Does their name spoon have anything to do with the shape of a piston?

The Honda 5spd transaxle would normaly be built from
Balsa wood, from deep in the Andes forest, a Spoon
Honda transaxle would swap the Balsa helicliar cut
1-2-3 and 4th gear for more durable Pine board cut
to match the exact OD and carrier ID support bearings.
A "Spoon" transaxle is obviously superior for a torque
motor but its overal weight gain in mass brings its
peak torque down a few hundred RPM. Balsa gearsets
will always be better for a street car (high RPM) where
the more expensive Pine gearset more for roadcoarse
action, normal aspirated.

Well the hype in the movie sounded like it was some crazy engine.

Well to a ricer... it probably is. You know how they are about their motor swaps. I once heard some riceboy say that he was going to swap an H22 or B22 or whatever... from a prelude into his whatever the hell it was and it would have and I quote "an ass-load of torque". So apparently 156 ft-lbs was his idea of "an ass-load" of torque.
