    Chassis cert. Day?

    Looking to get certified. Dunno how it really goes, do you get a sticker or something like a dirttrack car on da cage? Do you have a day or can you do it on a TnT nite?Just for future referance.

    have to make sure an inspector is there. one is not usually there every night. in fact, i think it's one of those things you'd have to call to get someone up here unless there is a certification day going on or something.

    Thanx, i thought so Need cage cert. and pass tech, just dont wanna drag it down and see I forgot something. Gonna go through book again.

    what are you trying to cert to ? 8.50 or 7.50??

    they have 1 cert time a yr its around april on a sat and sun

    if you send me pics of yur cage i can tell you what you will cert to...

    Thanx I will get them to you in a couple of days. Bangin out monte engine and T56 swap rite now. I painted Halo, A pillar bars and rest of bars so letting the paint dry on that for a couple days considering the cool weather. Got full of paint while trying to take some

    I think GLD should have a "cert" day twicw a season.

    once in the spring and again around this time of year.

    actually, what I'd REALLY like to see is a "get it all done in one day" cert.

    by this, I mean:

    Get the car cert'ed, have a MD on site to do the physicals for the NHRA licenses, then only have the cars who need to make liscense passes going down the track with a panel of "judges" who can sign-off for you.

    By the time you leave, you're 100% legal!

    I believe *THAT* would be something a lot of racers would go for.
    I like to race at the real street drags at GLD because it's legal and safe for everybody.

    ^^^ That would actually be good idea. Almost a round robin type of event were as soon as you check in you go from one station to the next. With your passes being the last one!

    What all was required for certing to 9.99 other than a 5 point cage and harness?

    I got pics, paint took forever to dry, and other projects just need to figure out how to sendm ( basics computer guy) to you. you should havem by this wknd though. The roundy round cert day would be a good Idea.

    6pt. roll bar.. harnesses fire jacket gloves snell approved helmet.. drive shaft loop with drag radials or slicks...... if batt relocated to back of car master cut off switch.....

    this would be a great idea, even if the track charged a bit more. im going through this right now trying to get everything done before next weekends race in st. louis. i got one test pass in last night and my physical is tommorrow, so i geuss ill be back down next week.

    Maybe he put them on after he backed up after the burnout.
