So i have a 98 Mustang Gt and every once in a while when i unlock the door the theft alarm goes off and everything locks up, and it is annoying. Is there a way to de-active the stock anti theft alarm?

you shouldn't have to de-activate it. Although I believe there is a way. I think by de-activated that though you might also turn off your keyless entry. I would have it checked out because it sounds like its malfunctioning.

The only way to disable the PATS system is to have your tuner do it that I am aware of. It sounds like it's just a bad trigger sensor though. I wouldn't shut off the PATS all together though.
