    MADASS Scooter

    http://www.gekgo.com/sachs_madass.html

I saw one of these going down the road yesterday on my way to work. I actually thought it was a neat looking scooter.

    Does anyone here own one?

And why do you say that? What is wrong with people that have scooters?

Irish, have you ever been to Madison? I know exactly what Stew is referring to. Most scooter people, especially in Madison and Milwaukee, do NOT obey traffic laws. Its not un-common to see them driving between two lanes of traffic, running lights, riding sidewalks and bike lanes, etc etc etc. I probably would if I had one, hence me NOT having one

I have only been to Madison a couple of times and I wasn't watching the scooters... well the ones with guys on them anyway.

One would think that if you were on a scooter you would pay closer attention to the rules of the road since they typically don't have enough power to get out of their own way

I do recall the tools on scooters that would roll through Oscars, remember the guy that bit it as he was trying to pull out? That was funny sheeyat!

Total disregard for the law, and those around them. Lane splitting, riding on the side walk, parking on walkways in front of stores, ignorance of no right on red signs. Lack of any training, safety gear, and licensing worse than the sportbike and cruiser crowds combined. Plus you generally look like a *** riding one. You want something cheap, reliable as gravity, good gas mileage, get a '08 Ninja 250R. Plus they are dead sexy. They look as good or better than any sportbike currently available.

Anything can be made to go fa$t, drive the 49cc version of that
scooter before you press the buy it now button.......its a long
trip up to its 40+ mph claimed speed with my 160# mass.

Its felt a quite a bit faster than my old Moped (sachs) out of the
hole but its top speed hitting hills leaves you wanting more. I
have a guy who lives near by that would let you try his.
