Any thought ever given to a section like this? Not sure if it's ever been tried here or not but it seems to work well on alot of boards.
i.e. : I ordered ________ from __________ and the service was _______ .
Just a thought.

that's not a bad idea,......but it could get out of hand.....people may start a blast fest on someone that someone else mentioned...
R.I.P BOB BUDDY
Everyday driver...2010 EXPLORER
Weekend car....1970 DUSTER 340 Now with a 416 w/ EFI SIX PACK
I guess but then people need to get whacked by the ban hammer.... Hell, I'll even volunteer to moderate it.
Could set the expectation that this section should be based on personal experiences not hear-say or "I know someone who was related to someone who slept with someone who heard that _________"
I think if someone wants an opinion on a shop, or product they can just post a thread in General. Like Wayne says, it invites SLAP FESTS by having its own section.
Its not a bad thought tho.
Yeah I hear ya. Just thought it would be nice to have a special sub section to be able to find them easier. Either way I'm just thinking out loud. Time for bed...
I know there used to be a hack to allow people to start new threads in vBulletin but no replies. I don't know if they've allowed permissions to be set that way now. Just an idea. It'd keep people from replying to threads they didn't start and would allow worthwhile posts to happen.
So, in essence:
All new threads in a particular forum would have to be approved (this stops people from posting hearsay).
All threads can only be replied to by the original creator (so 8 months down the line you can re-comment if "shit broke" like the one lady and her motorcycle wheels).
Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.
I think it would be a really good idea before people would waste there time going to shady companies!!!
I drove a Trans Am GTA, and it was a terrible experience.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.
