    LS1 air dam

    anyone know if removing this can cause the car to overheat? i wanna take the stupid thing off. i hate that scraping noise everytime you hit a bumb!

    well slow then. do you have stock springs/shocks? mine is lowered 1 1/2" and I dont even bottom out unless the road sucks.

    well i have one of those stupid driveways that has a huge curb at the end of it! no way around it.

    at one of my apartments, I left a plank a wood at the bottom of the driveway so I didnt have to worry about it.

    Yeah that thing will get real hot, real fast w/o it. Look at the design, thats the ONLY place it gets airflow into the radiator. If the fans are at stock settings those wont come on till 210 or when the a/c is on.

    mine drags too but i think mines a bit lower than yoo's lol i know every place it will drag on the way to work
