That was my thought too. I need to find deals like that. Either way, congrats on the purchase. If you flip through any of the mags. like 5.0 and MM&FF you really can't go wrong. It all depends on what you are looking for. Some bolt on's can also be found through classifieds like on here, NMRA board, MMA, ect.

yea i couldnt pass this car up...i thought it was a great deal. i'll have some pics shortly even tho its not that diserable right now since i have all the fenders and window out for paint prep

well, i also have a mudstang, as well as my buddy whos doing a chevy motor swap, weve gotten my parts for years from john at rocket racing in waterford. he will usually meet or beat summits/jegs price on just about everything, plus he doesnt charge shipping, and on top of that the parts are usually here next day. check it out. http://www.rocketracingperformance.com also, get some pics up and what kinda parts are you looking for? i have a stock pile of parts i may part with!

I'm calling this thread shananagins. $500 running 5.0 cars do not exist. Besides the paint, what else is wrong with the car? Is it an AOD? (not that there's anything wrong with that) how many miles are on it?

there are 98,000 miles...the guy needed to get rid of it becouse he lost his job and was about to lose his aprtment so he needed the cash.

im looking for a bracket that holds the alternator and smog pump but idk where to find that or what the bracket is even called...any ideas?

Its called the alternator bracket.
Probably easily found in a junkyard, or PM Fritz (portponies) he may have one.
