    clunk in a jeep

i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee that has this annoying ass clunk when the rear-end is vibrated over a bump, not a soft bump a quick jolt. Ive looked 4 times now and had it on a rack once there is nothing loose, not the exhaust all mounts are intact. My wife is nagging the **** out of me to fix it and its pissing me off, the shocks were shot so i replaced those in hopes of it but no luck so plz help

My buddy had a faint clunk on his ZJ after changing the shocks. Turned out the metal insert in the bushing on the shock had a larger inner diameter than the stock bolt. So whenever he would go over a bump it would shift making a clunk.

    Dunno if that helps.
