    Fuel pressure regulator mounting

I am getting ready to mount the fuel pressure regulator on the El Camino. I was wondering if mounting it on the frame near the fuel pump is to far away from the carb? Also with a dual port regulator can I run the fuel supply for my nitrous system out of the second port of the regulator? Thanks for the help

Will your fuel pump supply enough volume and pressure to feed the engine and the solenoids?

ideally, you want the regulator close to the carb. I would run a seperate regulator for the nitrous,as fuel pressure STRONGLY affects the tuneup. it needs to be stable.

The pump is only 80 gph. I only plan on hitting the motor with 75 to 100 for the nitrous. Would you suggest running a second regulator for that small of a shot?

What he said. There is no way that pump will be enough. I would run a dedicated fuel system for the spray.

Wow. I'm glad to hear this before I sprayed the car. If I went with a Holley 110 GPH pump would that be enough or would I need to go with a 130? Also how do you determine what size pump is needed?

I would run a Holley Blue for just the nitrous.

On my car I have a Holley HP150 for the carb AND a Holley Blue pump for the spray. The only way I would even consider using a single pump spit for both is with a higher-end quality pump from someone like Magnafuel, Weldon, Aeromotive, etc. Fuel system is NOT something to be skimped on.

Like juiced n badass88gt have already said, you need more pump then that. Fuel system is something you should spend the money and do right the first time, or else you'll be going thru you're motor again, esp. with spray.

If I mount the regulators on the engine do I have to worry about vibration damaging them?

Nope. They make some pretty nice brackets to mount the reg right to the carb.
