FS: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Have to get rid of my 2 door GTP (to buy a 4-door GXP) because we have another kid on the way and 2 babies and 2 doors is a PITA. Aside from that here is the info on the car...

It's a Red 2-Door (I will post pictures tomorrow)... it was just detailed inside and out by pOrk's brother Jason. Has 125,000 miles (vast majority of which is highway miles because I work in Madison). Gets ~27MPG combined city/highway, ~32 highway. It was never modded (with the exception of a K&N panel air filter and it now has a brand new SLP exhaust). Loaded with options (only option missing is the 6-CD changer).

Kelly Blue Book is about $5000... which is about what I'd like (I will entertain all offers... though if you plan on test driving it you'd better be making a reasonable offer). I don't need people beating on it just for kicks.

Overall the car is in great shape, I think pOrk's bro can attest to that. It's been well cared for and has always had the fluids changed at the appropriate computer indicated intervals and has always had Mobil1 used in it. I am only the second owner (I bought it back in '02 when it had about 32,000 miles on it). There has been some concern expressed by one interested party regarding the supercharger and the car having 125k on it. I do have an AeroForce Intercepter Scan Gauge (which hooks into the OBD2 port) if you want to see if it's producing the boost it should be. I was planning on keeping the gauge, but if someone is REEEEEEALY interested in the gauge as well, I might be willing to part with it. If you're interested, shoot me a PM or give me a call at 608-225-7030.

There are over thirty pictures (closeups of the rims, etc...) in my photobucket album which you can view here:

Lol, yeah, I would love to... but the G8 would be a serious PITA if next winter is anything like the last one. Granted I could take the wife's SRX if it was really bad, but that would leave her stranded at home because if I'm not driving a RWD to work (in a snowstorm) there's no way in hell she's going to.

Just curious how much you would want for the gauge itself? Is it very accurate on the readings?

The gauge is as accurate as the information it gets from the ECU (and the stock sensors). I wasn't really planning on selling it as I was thinking about using it with the next Grand Prix I eventually plan on buying... but I guess I could let it go for $150, but you might have to wait until I sell the car though. If I have a buyer that wants to know what the supercharger is putting out for pressure... I'll need that gauge.

Mine looks like this, except it has red numbering.

It can read tons of parameters and can display two at a time.

SLP Exhaust has been installed. Sounds awesome.

Thanks to Keith (GRNDNL) For putting this on for me. Still for sale... goes up on Auto Trader this week.

Wow what a clean ride, I really really wish I had the money, I'd jump on this in a second. It's got every option cept the CD changer it looks like, which doesn't really matter to anyone anyway. Damn Damn Damn, what a nice ride.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.

a 60 month loan from Summit Credit Union on this car would be about $104 a month. It makes a great daily/winter driver and it's moddable. My brother's is deep in the 13's for less than $1000 worth of mods. I'd really, really, prefer to sell this to someone local and not have to spend the money on AutoTrader as well as deal with the herds of tire-kickers I know I'll get once it's up on AT.

I'd be on that but I don't need $500/mo worth of car payments. I'm assuming you already posted on clubgp?

My post about the cost wasn't targeting you specifically Dan. Anyone that was wondering though what it would probably run them per month... there you have it.

Yes, I have the car listed on ClubGP and haven't even gotten a nibble there. It's also listed on Craigs List... I really don't think it's priced too high given the condition. But who knows.

If anyone wants to hear what the exhaust sounds like, you can hear it on its FQuick page.

I have decided to include the AeroForce Interceptor OBD-2 scan gauge with the car. I'm getting a lot of tire-kickers... but not of a lot of serious interest.
