    1986 camaro

Has a late 70's 350 with a 700r4 i think i just got the car and the trans is slippen the tighter the OD cable get it shifts harder (4200-4500rpm)but in OD and D now its like its in Nutural is it shot and does ne1 have a trans that will hook up with that car? thanks

Kickdown cable could be incorrectly set causing the transmission to slip which in turn will toast the tranny all together. Happened to me, get that check out if it hasn't done too much damage already. 700r4's are not the easiest tranny's to work on but are all over junk yards and can be swapped pretty easily. Id get a junkyard one for cheap make sure it works and put a shift kit in it and call it a day.

Ok. Now you know your tranny is toast. Time to put a TH350 into it and done by a professional shop that won't rip you off on a cable and install.

That tranny cable has gotta be adjusted correctly, that is a simple thing a shop will do to fvck a guy over and make them come back for a tranny build.

Time for a th350, hell if you can find a th400 cheap and have the money to rebuild it you got a bulletproof tranny.

Or like I said before 700r4's are cheap and easy to swap just no easy to work on.
