Wheres the best place for Ammo?

Was looking at picking up some different types of ammunition to put through the XD this weekend.

I BRIEFLY glimpsed some of the deals that Cabela has with buying in Bulk, and it doesn't look bad. Was thinkin of checking out Sportsmans warehouse too. Any Tips on where to find good deals? Or types of ammunition to try out?

You can sometimes get some great deals on Midwayusa.com. I have also had good luck with Sportsmans. Gander is usually more costly. The biggest thing is to know what you're buying as far as bullet type, grain, etc. so that you aren't comparing apples to oranges.

Wal-Mart has the Winchester White Box of 100 rounds in .45 for $30. Best I have come across. Comepare that to Gander who has the same WWB 100 rounds for $50.

    True dat.
I've had good luck with Somar in Muskego (Police supply store) when I needed some 7.62x54r hunting ammo and I've bought WWB from them too.

Yeah, if you're looking to get ammo just to shoot for plinking, definitely get the Walmart Winchester. If you're actually looking to get some premium ammo to pattern for self defense (JHPs), then go to those ones I referred to earlier.
