need cold air kit

so it's a Mercury Mountainer,,....it is part of the Ford family and has a real 4.9L in the engine bay...anyways ..does anyone now who makes a cold air kit for the Mountainer ...looking to get a little more gas milage out of her..not that it's bad...but hey better is better...i was just going to go the norm and drop in a K&N air filter in the air box....but then i thought about a cold air kit....any good input would be great......

They are all the same pretty much, find one that has a heatshield, thats the biggest concern.

What's a 4.9L?? (Other than the 4.9L I6 aka 300 Straight 6.)

Either it's a 4.6L V8 (newer body style) or a 5.0L V8 (older body style)

sorry joe...the truck is listed with a 4.9L...thats what the dealer says as well....call it a 5.0....doesn't matter to me..i just drive the thing.......i didn't write the book on the thing....i'm just looking for parts for the thing...
