    overheating issue!

    i cant figure this out! the car overhears after a while of driving. the gauge was pegged yesterday. i changed the water pump,radiator,and tstat. i'm lost now! any ideas on what this could be?? 02 z28 by the way

    It may be a long shot, but are your connectors and sensors clean?

    my buddy said it could be an air pocket too. how do you get rid of it? lol

    It's the same with the LT1's. You have to use the bleeder screws- one is on a small coolant hose and the other one is going to be on the thermostat housing.

    Yea, had a huge air pocket when I changed my T-stat, it was pissing me off, but eventually bleed through finally and I got some good flow. Just be patient

    fill the system with the bleeders open untill the coolant runs from them shut them,jack the front end up so the radiator is the highest point in the coolant system,turn on the heater and start the car and burp that biatch

    Is there a way to tell if it is an airpocket without disassembling everything?

    all fixed guys, and it wasnt an air pocket. the idiot that previously owned this car had the driver and passenger heater core hoses backwards which plugged the heater core. all better now!
