    Nice piece.

It's pretty much useless for deer hunting though.

Well, I suppose you can carry it for protection in case a buck foaming at the mouth with CWD decides to charge you and you wanna throw a whole clip at him, but you can't legally hunt with it if it only has a 4" barrel...

edit: You might be ok. It's 5.5" from pin to muzzle. I don't know if a 9mm cartridge is 1.5" long though so you still might be SOL...

Well you said in your first post that you bought it as a sidearm for deer hunting so I was merely pointing out the fact that it may not be legal to use as such...

ok so i meant if i were to shoot a deer... wound it, and it was struggling to live, i would put it down with that behind the ear in the head. and if dnr asks when i tag it, i will simply say my uncle used his 9mm and hes still out hunting. ive had to use that line befor.

Why not just shoot it again with whatever you shot it with in the first place?

i dont like to spoil my meat! i've already had this happen twice... i shoot a deer about 50-60 yards out, it runs towards me and lays down about 10-15 yards away and struggles for a good 5-6mins befor it dies. Im not gonna shoot it again with my 30-06(or if i have my 35) that close!

Just shoot it in the head with the 30-06 its not going to explode or anything. I mean if its a trophy don't but otherwise it will just punch a hole. I don't think you even want to be caught carrying a 9mm during deer season.
